How to find us

The 8th Wirral Folk On The Coast Festival is taking place at an exciting new venue in 2012! 

The Whitby Sports & Social Club, (formerly The Shell Club)  is situated at the junction of Chester Road/Dunkirk Lane, Whitby, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, CH65 6QF, just north of the Castrol Sports & Social Club, and is within easy travelling distance of Chester, Liverpool and North Wales.   It is just a stone's throw from Junctions 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the M53 and Junction 15 of the M56.   As our festival has grown,  we had to find a bigger, more suitable venue and for those who have seen us before we are sure you will be delighted at this new venue.  There is plenty of room in the grounds of the club, with extensive space for camping and caravans.

HOW TO FIND US

TRAVELLING SOUTH ALONG THE M53 -- Come off the motorway at Junction 7 signposted (B5132) Whitby and Overpool.  Follow the road for 2 miles when you will reach the crossroads with Chester Road.  (Whitby High School will be on your right at this traffic light junction). TURN RIGHT into Chester Road.  Drive through one set of traffic lights and Dunkirk Lane is the second on the left.  The venue is on the corner of this junction.

TRAVELLING NORTH ALONG THE M53 -- Come off the motorway at Junction 10 and take the A5117 towards Queensferry, to the second roundabout. At this roundabout turn right onto the A5032 Chester Road towards Ellesmere Port centre.   Within half a mile the venue is on your right hand side, (see large playing fields).

TRAVELLING FROM QUEENSFERRY ALONG THE M56  --Take the A5117 towards Cheshire Oaks Retail Park.   Turn left well before then at the Strawberry roundabout (see the large red petrol filling station on the left corner), turn into the A5032, Chester Road, signposted to Ellesmere Port town centre.  Within half a mile the venue is on your right hand side, (see large playing fields).
